Women are the core of the family, and the family is the unit of the social fabric, surely in Muslim Society. Learn about the role of women in Muslim society and the importance of social justice while comparing political situations in the Muslim world that are shaping the media's presentation of Islam. Q & A will take place while going in depth on these topics. The class Knowing Your Muslim Neighbors - Part 1 is helpful as a prerequisite, but is not required. We will provide a light dinner for attendees. The food will include a sandwich, an appetizer/desert, and water bottle. Mashood Yunus

MASHOOD YUNUS, originally from Pakistan, came to MN/USA in 1992 and finished two bachelors in electrical engineering and computer science from Mankato State U.  He was raised in United Arab Emirates. He is quite involved with many volunteer opportunities. Mashood has been teaching Arabic locally for 7 years besides occasionally teaching Islam 101.
