East African Classics: Goat Stew, Chipati, Rice and Matooke

Join us for some authentic East African dishes! We'll make Goat Stew (beef option available too), Pilau Rice, Matooke (mashed plantains with a peanut sauce) and Chipati Bread. This will be a hands-on cooking class so you can explore the step-by-step process. There will be plenty of food to sample! $20 food fee payable to instructor in class. Please note dietary restrictions when registering.

Mimi Selam Asfaha

Mimi is a dynamic culinary teacher with a deep passion for gastronomy, especially Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes. Her extensive experience encompasses teaching cooking in Community Education programs in Minnesota and conducting cooking workshops across the Midwest and Southwest. Mimi's culinary skills are diverse, covering a range of cuisines from Mediterranean and Asian to Southern styles.
