Kim was raised on a farm and learned about gardening from a young age. After retiring from her IT career, she returned to her roots and became a certified University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener in 2019. Kim and her husband own a 37 acre wooded property and deal with invasive species regularly, especially buckthorn. In her free time she enjoys photography, her German Shepherd, and their pontoon.
