Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Separating Classes
Young children are naturally curious. They wonder what things are called, how they work, and why things happen. The foundations of scientific learning lie in inquiry and exploration - these are tools of active learning. Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) class will provide fun hands on activities that foster children's sense of curiosity about the natural world around them. Some areas for exploring this semester are: Exploring Ice and Snow, Investigating Magnets using multi-sensory approach with building materials, paint, and water, and plant science investigations. Parents will gain ideas for activities to do at home and approaches that support fostering children's curiosity and lifelong learning!
