In this dynamic and hands-on class, participants will practice useful Spanish vocabulary and conversation components that can be applied to the home, workplace, travel, leisure, etc. Start speaking Spanish today!     Enjoy a refreshing experience practicing yoga outdoors! Vinyasa yoga helps with strength and flexibility. We will work on balance and elongating the muscles to create a positive habit in your life. We'll meet at Pine Glen Park located at 9701 Hamlet Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. No experience is necessary, and you are welcome to bring your kids of all ages (supervised and participating). There is also a playground that is close by for children. Bring a mat and water bottle.     Past participants will appreciate the open studio time to continue to practice. New students will receive short demos in basic throwing techniques to learn how to create cylinder and bowl forms, handles and practice glazing.     Have fun with your friends and learn how to make your own fused glass pendant and earrings. Each participant will select their special COE glass, then hand cut and design their pendant and earrings. Makes a great gift idea and is a fun way to spend some time with friends and family in a collaborative artisan environment. Completed pieces will be brought back to the artist studio for fusing in a kiln at about 1400 degrees. Creations will be delivered back to the District Program Center for pick up.

    Join us for this hybrid class that combines 30 minutes of Zumba® Fitness followed by 30 minutes of Zumba Toning. It features dance-fitness movements inspired by Latin, international and pop/hip hop music meant to get your heart rate up and warm up your muscles. Then, Zumba Toning incorporates weighted toning sticks or light hand weights (no more than 3lbs each)to your Zumba workout. They function like dumbbells and act as resistance weights to help you tone and sculpt your muscles. Note: You must provide your own weights/toning sticks for class

How well your photographs tell that story depends on how well you understand the basic elements of photography and composition. Learn about rules of composition, the exposure triangle, metering, semiautomatic and manual shooting modes and more. Please bring your digital (DSLR) camera with a fully charged battery, camera manual, pen, and notebook. No “point & shoot” cameras please.

    Designed for one adult and one child, ages 6 to 15. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn the time-honored art of creating pasta from scratch. Instructor Mimi will teach you how to throw together the perfect pasta dough as well as roll and slice it into noodles. You'll also learn how to make a red tomato sauce & creamy Alfredo sauce to smother your freshly made noodles. Pair it with a fresh seasonal garden salad to balance out the meal. $20 food costs are included in your class fee. Please note dietary restrictions when registering.     Come learn some basic decorating skills to make beautiful cupcakes including Hydrangeas and Roses. We will use a few fancy flower tips as well. Each student will take home 12 boxed decorated cupcakes. Plan to pay a supply fee of $12 to instructor in class for food costs.
  • Yoga – Level 1 (Prerecorded for Your Convenience)

    A recorded-only class will be sent to you each week via email to watch and practice at your convenience. It will be similar to the online class, but with no Live Zoom meeting to join. This class is a flow-style yoga class, using poses to warm up the body and match breath to movement. It provides opportunities for strengthening and stretching. Many modifications are offered so you can tailor the practice to your own body. It is recommended that you have some previous yoga experience, only because you are practicing at home on your own. Use a yoga mat. Yoga blocks are also recommended but not required. Participants will receive a recording of the current Online Yoga Level 1 class, for that week, on or by Tuesday afternoon. Recordings are typically available for 2 weeks or so after you receive them and you can view them more than once.
