After School Hispanic Culture Club

Rowen and Daniel are high school students who are in the Spanish Immersion program. As part of their final capstone project, they are excited to teach younger immersion students about hispanic culture. Join them and learn about the cultures as they show you slides, teach some games and give you an opportunity learn about the different foods. Each week they will be talking about a different culture. Sign up for one week or all 8 Fridays. Don't miss this fun free after school club and the opportunity to learn about all the different hispanic cultures.

Coding: Hacking Java Games

Hack into the code of classic games! Students will learn Java coding skills while modifying games. Coding beginners and more experienced students will love this class. This fun class is our staff and students’ favorite codling class. We will be editing text files. No experience is necessary, but familiarity with common tasks using a computer operating system (text-editing and understanding directory structures) and good keyboarding skills is required. Skyhawks Baseball: Skyhawks Baseball takes the rich history of the game from Cooperstown to your town. Local Skyhawks staff use our progression curriculum to teach the fundamentals of fielding, catching, throwing, hitting, and base running, all in a fun, positive environment. This camp is for all 5th-7th grade students in the Park High School boundaries, that are not already on the Park Tennis team. It's designed to teach the fundamentals of tennis along with fun games! This camp is intended to get more students introduced and excited to this wonderful sport and hoping that they will join Park Tennis as a 7th grader. We will not be having any rain dates available for this camp, if we need to cancel any sessions due to weather. That is why the cost is so reasonable. Let your little artist explore the messier side of art in this hands-on class. Your child will enjoy many super-duper messy experiences as they create fantastic works of art. They will paint, sculpt, scribble, and giggle their way to discovering mess making at its best. These are not projects to tackle at home. Cottage Grove Elementary - After School Spring Sports

A chance for kids to learn some basic fundamental skills in a sport, have fun and also meet new friends! This program is offered to boys and girls in grades 3-5 and runs for six sessions for three weeks (2 days per week). Activities will include kid pitch, brannboll, cornhole, and rec games. Unicycling for All Ages and Skill Levels

Why settle for two wheels when one will do? Ages 7-97 can learn the basics of riding a unicycle! Unicycling is an awesome individual or family activity that gets everyone moving and having fun! All skill levels are welcome at this class. Learn to ride or polish some new techniques. Classes meet in the gym and unicycles are provided. Instruction is provided by members of the Twin Cities Unicycle Club. The club is the oldest in the area and the largest in the country, holding over 30 national titles and over 15 world championships. Final District Chess Tournament

Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the ISD 833 District Open Final. Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognitions will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Those arriving after the posted start time may need to sit-out of the first round of play. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4–5 rounds. Check-in will be 30 minutes before the posted start time. Supervision will be provided. Parents/guardians are allowed to stay, but are asked to wait outside of the playing area during matches.

Serenity Farm Horse Camp

Offered for kids ages 6-12, Spark Equestrian’s day camps at Serenity Farm teach kids the basics of horse care, grooming, and riding. Kids should provide their own lunch and wear long pants with close-toed shoes. It is recommended to dress in multiple layers as we will be both inside and outside. Drop off is at 9 AM and pick up is at 2 PM. We will provide the rest! Please be sure to fill out and bring the waiver form and bring it to camp.

DASH Sports No School Multi-Sport Camp Grade K - 5 Multi-Sport (Non-School Day): Looking for a fun non-school day filled with fun sports activities? This Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. Athletes will spend roughly 1.5 hours on each sport, performing fun, instructor-led skill-based activities and games. Code Championship Tournament Series | Virtual Computer Coding Competition

Build a computer bot to play head-to-head against other coders! Whether this is your first Code Championship event, or if you've been competing for years, this is the perfect way to explore the competitive coding world of Code Championship. No previous coding experience necessary. The Code Championship Series is a series of four tournaments in four weeks (it's ok to miss one or two). These tournaments will be hosted online using Google Meet and the Code Championship website. If you have a modern browser like Chrome or Firefox, no additional download is required. Advantage ACT Prep Course Spring
