  • Yoga - Level 1 (Cottage Grove) In-person

    This flow-style class uses a series of yoga poses to warm up the body, while encouraging awareness in connecting breath to movement. Basic yoga poses are utilized to build muscle strength and improve flexibility. Modifications offered as needed to allow students to “individualize” their practice. Note: Some previous yoga experience is helpful but not required. This class is being offered as an in-person class, participants will also receive a recording of the current Online Yoga Level 1 class for that week on or by Tuesday afternoon. Please bring your own yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. November 7th is not available in the building for in-person classes, however our instructor will send a recording, so you may continue your yoga practice without a skip night.

    A recorded-only class will be sent to you each week via email to watch and practice at your convenience. It will be similar to the online class, but with no Live Zoom meeting to join. This class is a flow-style yoga class, using poses to warm up the body and match breath to movement. It provides opportunities for strengthening and stretching. Many modifications are offered so you can tailor the practice to your own body. It is recommended that you have some previous yoga experience, only because you are practicing at home on your own. Use a yoga mat. Yoga blocks are also recommended but not required. Participants will receive a recording of the current Online Yoga Level 1 class, for that week, on or by Tuesday afternoon. Recordings are typically available for 2 weeks or so after you receive them and you can view them more than once.
