    30 minute Private Lessons (String, piano, voice, etc.) with Michelle Dunkirk Spring Session

    Spring session lessons will be held in person at Red Rock on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning in April and run through May. Michelle Dunkirk is a certified and licensed music instructor with over 20 years experience.She received her Bachelors of Music on a full vocal scholarship at the U of E, Indiana, majoring in string technique, piano and voice and has played in orchestras for over 14 years including the U of M Concert Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and has also studied with the teachers of the Julliard School of Music. Her experience also includes several years of playing in dozens of bands, performing solo and in ensembles locally and internationally.She's performed on the acoustic and electric violin, guitar, mandolin, drums, flute, keyboards and lead vocals. Dunkirk was former CEO and owner of Total Music Systems rental and recording studio which rents music equipment to national recording artists in major entertainment venues. She also spent six years as orchestra director at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisc. Michelle has produced and recorded three CD's of original music, one of which was nominated for a music award.She has recently completed recording a commercial for RedLine hockey sticks where she wrote, produced and performed the music. Besides all of her accomplishments, Michelle's true passion is teaching music. She works best with students who have some previous music experience.

The main goal of the course is to introduce the concept of 3-dimensions and their role in design. Students will construct buildings, structures, towers, castles, and more within teams. Students will learn construction principles and use math skills to experiment with scale and size, staggering vs. stacking bricks, and more. We'll build houses with removable roofs, castles with turrets, and towers of strength! It might just be impossible to exhaust the creative potential of LEGO® bricks.     Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, a ring, or a pendant in this class. Additionally, they will get to bring home two of their 3D creations. Printing and material fees are included

Invite your family to a fashion show on the last day to show off your creations.
  • Acrylic Pouring: Beach Wave

    Join us for a fun evening learning how to create fun and easy fluid art. Instead of paint brushes, we will use gravity to move the paint and learn different techniques to create two ocean inspired pours. It's a lot of fun (and somewhat addicting!) and a great way to spark your creative energy. You will create two 8”x8” canvases and transport home in a provided tray. Your final piece will change during transportation and when it is completely dry.

    You've watched the videos, now discover the magical world of acrylic pouring for yourself! Using fluid acrylics and pouring medium, our instructor will show you how to produce the same beautiful abstract artwork you've seen on Pinterest. Create an acrylic pour on a 12" wooden cut-out. Choose between three options: Outline of Minnesota, Bear, or Fish. We'll provide a tray to carry your painting home.

    Adult - Beginner

    This class is for the adults that need to become comfortable in the water. Nervous or apprehensive not to worry. We take this level from the very beginning. What you'll do in this class is become comfortable putting your head under water, floating on your front and back with assistance, doing front and back glides with assistance, learning the flutter kick, fining, the front crawl holding your breath and the back crawl with assistance. To move to Beginner 2 you must be totally comfortable submerging, floating independently, and swimming two body lengths the front crawl and back stroke. Registration is due 1 week in advance of class start. Thereafter a late fee of $5.00 is added to the registration fee. Please call 425-6600 for class availability after online registration ends. Late registrations are taken at the pool for any available class for the first two lessons.
