National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP)

Adult Classes and Activities / Feel Great -
Spring 2024

There are 96 million American adults who have prediabetes – that’s 1 in 3 adults! Without taking action, many people with prediabetes could develop type 2 diabetes within 5 years. The Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle change program, created by the CDC and proven to help reduce your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The DPP is a covered benefit under Medicare and Medicaid. If your insurance does not cover, we charge a $100 program fee for participation. Please register to hold your spot. Insurance options and prediabetes-related requirements will be discussed at the first class.

You must register through Community Education for the 24 session, year long class. This course begins meeting weekly, then transitions to every other week and finally monthly so please add the specific dates to your calendar. (Note: Summer location TBD but dates are as follows: Wednesdays, June 5, June 26, July 10, July 24, Aug. 7, and Aug. 21.) An Informational Session will be held Wednesday, Mar 20th 4:45-5:45 pm.
