SoWashCo Online offers part or full-time online learning experience for students in grades 9-12.
Whether you're an Iron Ranger, a Yooper, or simply a lover of pocket meat pies, here's the class for you! You'll learn how to make delicious crusts (some with cheese, some without) and create tasty fillings, and then you'll bake miniature versions of traditional fist-sized pasties for eating in class or taking home. Extensive handout provided. Bring an apron, an appetite, and a cardboard box for carrying home your smoking-hot treasures. Class fee includes food costs.
Your instructor for the evening will be Jan Zita Grover, a food-savvy San Francisco-born teacher/writer/historian/instructor/baker/chef who loves to teach others how to cook joyfully and improvisationally. She has cooked, catered, run a professional kitchen, and taught classes for 30 years.
