Vietnamese Pho

Adult Classes and Activities / Cook -
Fall 2024

Pho is a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup that is beloved for its flavorful broth and fresh, vibrant ingredients. The dish typically consists of a clear, aromatic broth, rice noodles, and tender slices of meat, often beef or chicken. It's commonly served with a variety of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime wedges, and chili peppers on the side, allowing each diner to customize their bowl to their taste. The complex flavors of pho come from a carefully crafted broth made by simmering beef or chicken bones with charred onions and ginger, as well as a blend of aromatic spices like star anise, cinnamon, and cloves. This results in a rich, savory broth that's both comforting and invigorating. If you're a fan of bold, nuanced flavors and enjoy exploring new culinary experiences, then this cooking class is the perfect opportunity to learn how to prepare this iconic Vietnamese dish from scratch. Additionally, you'll learn about the historical and cultural importance of pho, as well as suggestions for presenting and garnishing the dish in a visually appealing and mouth-watering way.Join us as we delve into the art of creating pho and discover the secrets behind this beloved comfort food. Food costs are included in the class fee.
