Jambalaya is a one-pot, Cajun/Creole comfort food that is full of flavor and history. In this fun-filled and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step by your instructor, Mimi, in recreating this southern classic.  Learn how to make satisfying Jambalaya with Shrimp & Grits along with tasty Cornbread. You'll receive easy recipes perfect for first timers. Your class fee includes the $20 food cost. Please note dietary restrictions when registering.

Mimi Selam Asfaha

Mimi is a dynamic culinary teacher with a deep passion for gastronomy, especially Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes. Her extensive experience encompasses teaching cooking in Community Education programs in Minnesota and conducting cooking workshops across the Midwest and Southwest. Mimi's culinary skills are diverse, covering a range of cuisines from Mediterranean and Asian to Southern styles.
