SoWashCo Online offers part or full-time online learning experience for students in grades 9-12.
Enjoy a winter night under the moon and stars with a relaxing snowshoe hike. Get an intro to the basics of snowshoeing, learn about some nocturnal animals that might be spotted on the hike, and discover the beauty of winter ecology at Carpenter Nature Center. After the hike, warm up by the fire and enjoy some fresh popcorn and hot cider. Snowshoes are provided, or bring your own. No discounts. (At least 6 inches of snowcover is needed to use snowshoes.)
Sarah Germscheid is Carpenter Nature Center’s Director of Education and Visitor Services and has been with CNC since January 2023. After getting her start in environmental education as an intern at CNC back in the summer of 2014, Sarah has worked at Dakota County Parks, Eastman Nature Center and has been a preschool teacher at a private preschool. Sarah grew up in west central WI on a dairy farm and loves sharing her passion for nature through outdoor recreation experiences.
