In three sessions, you'll become introduced to basic techniques of hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel, and glazing. Using stoneware clay and earth tone glazes, you will create pieces of art using an electric wheel, slab roller and extruder. The first two sessions are devoted to creating and the last session will focus on glazing. You will be notified when you can pick up your finished pieces at the District Program Center in Cottage Grove. Both new and returning students are welcome. Please bring an apron or towel. Plan to pay a $35 supply fee to the instructor at the beginning of class. Class meets at instructor Craig Seath’s Studio - 1023 7th St, Hudson, WI.
Craig has been working in ceramics for over twenty years. At his studio in Hudson, Wisconsin, he makes functional, decorative and raku ceramic pieces with a variety of glazes. He truly enjoys sharing his creative projects and passion for pottery with children and adults.
