SoWashCo Online offers part or full-time online learning experience for students in grades 9-12.
Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this club to meet and interact with other chess players in your school and play on a weekly basis. If they are new to the game, players will learn the basic rules and strategies of chess. Tournament play is encouraged outside of the club, but not required.
Note: For an additional fee, school chess club participants can join the Online Competition Chess Club / South Washington Chess Team meetings for longer, more in-depth chess instruction and coaching. This option provides both the after school chess club experience with the interest in chess competition at a tournament level.
