Discover the best, quickest and easiest methods of grilling or smoking common BBQ meat selections. This class will focus on pork ribs and chicken to create memorable meals. Each class will feature classroom instruction as well as hands on experience related to the following:

  • Meat selection: Choosing the best cuts of meat for cooking, grilling, or smoking,
  • Meat trimming and prep.
  • Seasoning: Injections, Marinades, Rubs, Sauces
  • Best methods of grilling, smoking, or cooking your meat selection. Best choices of cooking fuel, temperatures, and meat placement on the grill or smoker.
  • Finishing: Those little touches that make it special and DELICIOUS!
  • Tools and equipment: The items that make the job much easier.

At each class after we trim, season and prepare the meats for smoking or grilling; We will be TASTING!

Please wear appropriate clothes for the class. BBQ can be messy, and this is a hands-on class. Don't forget to bring a notepad. Come learn from a winning pitmaster! 

Hugh Munro

Hugh Munro (Ambition Que) is a regular competitor on the KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) Masters Series since 2020. KCBS is the NFL of BBQ Competition, sanctioning contests worldwide. Ambition Que travels the country competing in numerous BBQ contests every year.
