Help your child maintain reading and math skills this summer. Community Education has arranged for interested families to participate in a program called GRASP (Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program). GRASP is a 9 week correspondence program for grades K to 8 which helps students maintain skills while they are on summer vacation. It should take your child approximately one hour per week to complete each weekly lesson. Lessons are completed, mailed to the scoring center where they are analyzed and then returned to you. Instruction sheets found in each packet provide all the necessary information. We suggest parents order the grade level just completed. If there are extenuating circumstances, order the level that is appropriate for your child. At the end of May, a packet containing a workbook, answer sheets, instructions, and pre-addressed envelopes will be sent to your child at school to bring home in their backpack. Registration deadline April 23rd..
