This Bollywood/Latin-inspired dance fitness program combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. This 60-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and smiling. The program utilizes movements to create health benefits such as fat loss, improved cardiovascular endurance, weight loss, increased lean muscle, coordination, mind/body awareness, strength, and core abs. Expect choreography that provides movement taught in a repetitive manner. By holding "power poses" for at least two minutes, it decreases 25% of the stress hormone, enabling you to feel more powerful and confident. Please bring your own 1-3 lbs weights.
Viji Adhi is very passionate about pursuing fitness through dance. In her youth, she won the dance competition at her college. That inspired a passion to envision new ways to bring dance into her fitness routine. She enjoys dancing to the hottest music from around the world. She embodies the energy, expression and movement of Bollywood and Zumba and aims to expand the reach of fitness to more people. She choreographed and participated in the dance program event at the University of Minnesota- St.Paul Student Center.
