Surprise yourself by completing an oil painting in just one night! The Bob Ross method makes it easy and fun. Our Bob Ross Certified Instructor prefers to paint with people who have no experience painting, don't want to paint, or who can't draw stick men. If you are one of the “anti-artist” types, you will have the most fun and be the most amazed! If you are an experienced artist, welcome. There is always much to learn. The “Joy of Painting” may be the highlight of your year! All materials provided including paints, a 16" X 20" canvas and painting supplies. Your painting will be ready for you to frame and put on your wall at home when you finish. To find out more about your instructor, visit jayrupp.com. This four hour class will go quicker than you think, but feel free to bring snacks. Minimum age is 18+. (Students age 15 - 17 years old may register with a registered adult.) Optional frames will be available in class for a cost of $35 or $45, payable with a check or cash to the instructor.
Henry Jay is a retired medical doctor who has lived in Japan, Africa, and Alaska. He is continually thrilled with Alaska's mountains and wildlife when he visits each year.
In addition to his medical work, Dr. Rupp is a certified Bob Ross oil painting instructor in Landscape, Wildlife, and Floral. He also enjoys taxidermy and pottery.
