The Random Runners is a mixed group of men and women at a variety of levels from experienced to relatively new. Whether you are a competitive athlete, long-time runner or are new to a running/jogging routine or want to come walk ... please join us! Park High School Activity Center track is an excellent place for you to come in out of the cold, snow and ice and get some movement in with us! Plus, you'll meet fellow runners or walkers! For those interested, we'll post some speed work and strength suggestions on the board. Others may choose to simply come and run or walk. Please bring a towel or mat if you want to do my floor exercises and water. Designed for adults age 15 and up. Parent and child (ages 12 - 14) may register with a discount.
Members of the Random Runners Club will be on site to assist:
Carol DeBlieck has been interested in exercise and running for the past 40 - 45 years. She started running in 1982 and found it to be an excellent mental and physical workout. Prior to running, she was an Aerobic Dance instructor for Community Education in Bemidji,MN. She started running as a way to lose weight after having children and found that it was easier and more fun than she thought it would be. She has run a few marathons and several shorter races in her years of running; but her goal now is to simply run, make new friends, and encourage the sport!
Elizabeth Bancker has been an active part of the Come Run and/or Walk with us group and will be available on site to provide a safe, comfortable walking track experience for participants.
Shannon McGoffin lives in Cottage Grove and discovered running after having her sons. She enjoys meeting new people and encouraging them in their fitness journey.
