Power Over Predators is a national curriculum used in middle and high schools. It's designed to equip our community to prevent abusive relationships before they begin and to offer skills to get out of unhealthy situations. You would be surprised by the statistics - including Minnesota - related to how widespread abuse and issues like sexting have become. If you are a parent, grandparent, relative, educator or concerned community member, you're in a position of influence to help. We are offering this special class for adults so you have the tools in this area to support the young people in your life. Come learn the essentials to empower youth to identify things that distract from their goals and help them to learn how to make choices to stay on track. Ashley Moore will present on Nov. 6 and Madelyn Hanson will present on Nov. 13. You may register for just one or both dates: Nov. 6 and/or Nov. 13.
Ashley has worked in the anti-trafficking movement for almost 10 years. Ashley was born and raised in Washington County and is eager to use her education and experience to serve her community. She is dedicated to serving and empowering victims-survivors of exploitation as well as equipping the community with the knowledge they need to help end sex trafficking and sexual exploitation before it begins.
