Located in most elementary schools, Central Park, and the District Program Center (DPC). Educational classes for ages 3-5 in math, language, literacy, music, art and science. Tuition based on a sliding fee scale.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to students through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Explore real-world scientific challenges and introduce coding and robot building principles using LEGO educational materials. FIRST LEGO League gives students the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem.
Challenge teams are facilitated by the East Ridge High School Robotics team. Team members and coaches collaborate with Challenge teams to provide kits and materials, as well as support throughout the season. Each LEGO League team is led by at least two team parents. All skill levels are welcome and no prior experience or technical knowledge is needed. Teams meet on a schedule determined by the parent coaches, typically 1.5-3 hours per week. The Challenge season culminates with a competitive tournament in December.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge is recommended for grades 3-5.
