FIRST LEGO League Explore introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to students through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Explore real-world scientific challenges and introduce coding and robot building principles using LEGO educational materials. FIRST LEGO League gives students the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem.
Explore teams are facilitated by the East Ridge High School Robotics team. Team members and coaches collaborate with Explore teams to provide kits and materials, as well as support throughout the season. Each LEGO League team is led by at least two team parents. All skill levels are welcome and no prior experience or technical knowledge is needed. Teams meet on a schedule determined by the parent coaches, typically 1.5-3 hours per week. The Explore season culminates with a non-competitive festival.
FIRST LEGO League Explore is recommended for grades 2-3.
