Parenting Skills for Immigrant Families: Raising Confident and Resilient Children in a New Culture

Adult Classes and Activities / Gain Skills -
Summer 2026

Join us for a warm, interactive class where immigrant parents connect with other families, understand cultural challenges, strengthen communication, build confidence, and create simple traditions that support children’s identity and resilience in a new environment.

  • Understand the emotional and cultural transitions immigrant children face in U.S. schools.
  • Learn practical, culturally sensitive strategies for building children’s confidence, identity, and sense of belonging.
  • Explore ways to create meaningful family traditions and a positive home culture that fosters connection.
  • Reflect on how to spend quality—not just quantity—time with their children, even with demanding schedules.
  • Share experiences and challenges in a safe, respectful forum that encourages learning, empathy, and community support among parents.
  • Strengthen communication and trust that bridges home and school expectations.
