You’ll learn the foundations step by step, including basic footwork, graceful arm movements, musical timing, partner interaction, and the cultural meaning behind the dance.
Marinera is known for its playful rhythm, elegant style, and use of the handkerchief as a symbol of connection and courtship. Set to lively Peruvian music, this class offers a wonderful way to stay active, improve coordination, and experience the rich traditions of Peru in a fun and supportive environment. No prior dance experience is needed—just bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and a readiness to dance!
Maria was born in Peru and has been leaving in the USA for 36 years. She loves to dance! Maria grew up with Salsa and Merengue music and is eager to share it with the community.
