This camp focuses on the instructions of the fundamentals of the game of football, as well as competitive and fun games every day of camp. Woodbury High School varsity players and coaches serve as the coaches and camp directors. Each camper will receive a T-Shirt. Each day of camp will have a character-based theme/lesson. Michelle Dunkirk is a certified and licensed music instructor with over 20 years experience.She received her Bachelors of Music on a full vocal scholarship at the U of E, Indiana, majoring in string technique, piano and voice and has played in orchestras for over 14 years including the U of M Concert Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and has also studied with the teachers of the Julliard School of Music. Her experience also includes several years of playing in dozens of bands, performing solo and in ensembles locally and internationally.She's performed on the acoustic and electric violin, guitar, mandolin, drums, flute, keyboards and lead vocals. Dunkirk was former CEO and owner of Total Music Systems rental and recording studio which rents music equipment to national recording artists in major entertainment venues. She also spent six years as orchestra director at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisc. Michelle has produced and recorded three CD's of original music, one of which was nominated for a music award.She has recently completed recording a commercial for RedLine hockey sticks where she wrote, produced and performed the music. Besides all of her accomplishments, Michelle's true passion is teaching music. Her warm and personal style sets her apart from other teachers.Summer 2022

If you have enjoyed our in-person classes, but would like the option to work out from your living room; or if you are just not comfortable exercising in public, this option is for you! Jena Radant, CPT, leads classes with Zoom options on Tuesday/Thursday mornings at 9 am; Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 3:00 pm; and Tuesday/Thursday at 3:15 pm. All classes are specifically intended for older adults and concentrate on building balance, flexibility and strength to reduce falls and increase independence. These classes are co-sponsored with our partner, Juniper. These courses are designed for students who wish to improve their test-taking skills and improve their overall scores on the college entrance exams. Since 1988, on average, students who finish the course increase their scores significantly on the ACT (36 pt. total). The Advantage will provide an introduction to the ACT format with strategies for answering questions, as well as instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, science reasoning, concentration improvement, overcoming test anxiety, essay writing, and time management.
