  • 2018/19 East Ridge Youth In-House and Traveling Wrestling Season

    Thank you for joining the East Ridge Youth Wrestling team! Our program is open for both beginner and advanced wrestlers. The practices are organized to be both fun and challenging for the kids. Come join us in the high school wrestling room on Tuesday and Thursday nights! For students ages 5 through fifth grade.  In-House participants  will be on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:15pm (C211). Travel program will be for participants in grades 2-5 (C212). Travel participants will meet on Tuesdays (7:15-8:30pm) and Thursdays.(6:00-8:00pm). The travel program could include state, national, regional and team tournaments as well. ***The schedule for the season is subject to change due to the High School wrestling season (may have to move some Thursdays to Wednesdays etc).*** In-House - Course # C211 - 6:00-7:15pm (PreK - 5th grade)Traveling - Course # C212 - 7:15-8:30pm on Tuesdays and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursdays.  Travel participants will need to tryout or be placed on travel team by coaches discretion. (2nd - 5th grade)

    Pow! Bang! Wow! Now you can learn to draw your own Superhero. Each day we will complete several drawings while we explore a variety of characters. We will learn to draw the basic muscular superhero body and adapt it to the character of our choice. We will learn to draw action and movement while we complete the scenes around our superheroes, using pencils, markers and Sharpies. Our collection of drawings will be impressive!

    You won't believe the vibrant swirling color you'll get in this fun, easy-to-do process! (Check Pinterest for inspiration.) Pour painting is an innovative way to use acrylic paint to create an art piece. Learn the process of mixing acrylic paints with other materials to give it a more fluid consistency so that it can be poured directly onto a canvas. All supplies are included. 
  • Adult - Beginner 1 - Lake Middle - Spring

    This class is for the adults that need to become comfortable in the water.  Nervous or apprehensive not to worry.  We take this level from the very beginning.  What you'll do in this class is become comfortable putting your head under water, floating on your front and back with assistance, doing front and back glides with assistance, learning the flutter kick, fining, the front crawl holding your breath and the back crawl with assistance.  To move to Beginner 2 you must be totally comfortable submerging, floating independently, and swimming two body lengths the front crawl and back stroke.  Registration ends online 72 hours in advance. Thereafter a late fee of $5.00 is added to the registration fee.  Please call 425-6600 for class availability after online registration ends.   • Adult - Beginner 2 - Lake Middle - Spring

    This class is for the adult that can do the following skills :  You can jump into shallow water with or without assistance,  let bubbles out through your mouth while underwater, submerge your head under water multiple times. Independently do a front float with face in the water, Back Float for 5 seconds, Front Glide with face in water, Back Glide, Flutter kick on back, flutter kick on front,  fining arm action with flutter kick on back for 8 seconds.  Front crawl with face in water using breath control for 8 seconds.  Do not sign up for this class if you are a Beginner 1 student and that class is full.  In this class you will work on your breathing for the front crawl, back stroke, and elementary back stroke arms. You will also jump or step into deeper water, breath holding for 5-10 seconds, swim underwater, retrieve a submerged object, roll from your front to your back and back to front, front and back floats for longer periods of time.  Front and back glides for longer distances. If the Beginner 1 class is full and you are a Beginner 1 student, do not sign up for this class, instead register for the next session of Beginner 1.  Registration ends online 72 hours in advance. Thereafter a late fee of $5.00 is added to the registration fee.
  • Adult - Beginner 3 & Intermediate 1 - Lake Middle - Spring

    This class is for the adult that can do the following skills and is ready to move onto more advanced skills.  To enroll in this class you are comfortable swimming front crawl, back crawl, and swimming underwater,  you can easily hold your breath and exhale underwater.  You can jump into water over your head and return to the wall or swim the width of the pool, You can float with face in the water for 5 seconds and back float for 15 seconds.  You can also do a modified Elementary Backstroke with a flutter kick,  In this class you build endurance and swim a longer distance, continue to learn to breath from the side, treading water, swimming in water over your head. learning the Elementary Backstroke, the whip kick, the scissors kick.  Intermediate level covers backstroke, front crawl, and sidestroke. Registration ends online 72 hours in advance. Thereafter a late fee of $5.00 is added to the registration fee.  Practice sessions for this class is restricted to the deep end of the pool.
  • Adult CPR/AED

    Learn how to respond to an unconscious person and receive practice in obstructed airway (conscious and unconscious) and CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) procedures. In addition, become trained in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). All participants will be on the floor for a portion of the class. Please dress appropriately.  No discounts.
  • Adult Swim

    This morning swim is just for adults to swim, float, play.  Meet friends for some morning exercise and jump start your day.   KIckboards, float belts, fins, and basket ball are available for use.  Hair dryers in locker rooms.  This swim is registration only.
  • Advanced & Swimmer - Cottage Grove Middle School - SPRING

    This course for ages 8-14 who have progressed to the Advanced or Swimmer course.   Participant must be able to swim Front Crawl and Back stroke 50 yards, Elementary Backstroke and Sidestroke 25 yards, and Breaststroke 15 yards.   Must be able to tread water 1 minute 30 seconds.  Registration online ends 72 hours in advance for all other days. Please consult with the instructor if the student has studied another style of Martial Art before enrolling

From basic traps to powered machines, Redstone offers Minecraft players a whole new range of opportunities to create amazing things. Mincraft's Command Block is a Psuedo-programming language that consists of logic and execution written in text. We'll learn to spawn creatures, teleport over all your world, and make multiplayer games. Students work in pairs to complete projects.

    Students will learn how to use Minecraft Command Blocks to do crazy things in Minecraft. Create self-building houses, ride the ender dragon, or create a working rocket ship! We will cover command basics and show how to copy and edit premade commands.
