Acrylic Pouring: Beach Wave

Join us for a fun evening learning how to create fun and easy fluid art. Instead of paint brushes, we will use gravity to move the paint and learn different techniques to create two ocean inspired pours. It's a lot of fun (and somewhat addicting!) and a great way to spark your creative energy. You will create two 8”x8” canvases and transport home in a provided tray. Your final piece will change during transportation and when it is completely dry.

Henna Workshop

Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from leaves of a henna tree also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from dyes. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them. Your instructor will fill in or finish your henna design at the end of the class. All the materials to use in class will be provided.

Songs and Scenes from Frozen

Welcome to Arendelle where we join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the rest of the gang in this fun-filled camp! Students will learn songs and scenes from the popular Disney musical, Frozen. Come try out different characters, styles, and songs while playing theater games and learning important stage skills. Family and friends are invited to a special performance on the last day of camp. Focus is put on developing imagination, social skills, and a positive self image through the performing arts.

You will select special COE glass, hand cut then design your own plate or bowl. There will be lots of different types of colors and nuggets to make something special. Makes a great gift idea and is a fun way to spend time with friends and family in a collaborative artisan environment. Make your piece of art at class and pick up your treasures at the District Program Center.

Welcome to the House of Mouse! Experience the magical world of Disney in this wide-ranging musical theater camp. From "Beauty and the Beast" to "Descendants," our campers will explore iconic songs and scenes from popular Disney musicals. Students will learn the art of performance inspired by beloved Disney characters. Whether it's a courageous princess, a daring hero, or a mischievous sidekick, every student will find their moment in the spotlight. Family and friends are invited to a special performance on the last day of camp.

Handmade Pasta with Red and Cream Sauces - Adult/Child

Designed for one adult and one child, ages 6 to 15. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn the time-honored art of creating pasta from scratch. Instructor Mimi will teach you how to throw together the perfect pasta dough as well as roll and slice it into noodles. You'll also learn how to make a red tomato sauce & creamy Alfredo sauce to smother your freshly made noodles. Pair it with a fresh seasonal garden salad to balance out the meal. $20 food costs are included in your class fee. Please note dietary restrictions when registering. Fee is for one child and one adult. Please register the adult only.

Is your child passionate about pink? Positively possessed by purple? Then this camp is for them! We'll create all things pink, purple and as cute as can be like cupcakes piled high with pink frosting, a basket full of lovely lavender, a butterfly surrounded by fuchsia flowers, and so much more. We'll paint, draw and sculpt our way through every shade of pink and purple. The kids will be tickled pink by the projects in this camp! Not so crazy about pink and purple? Mimi will teach you how to throw together the perfect pasta dough as well as how to roll and slice it into noodles. You'll also learn how to make a delicious garlic tomato-sauce & Alfredo sauce to smother your freshly made noodles — a rich and satisfying homemade dish. The eggrolls and samosas are classic appetizers that explode with complex, unique flavors. You’ll make an eclectic assortment of dishes, from sumptuous samosas to delightful egg rolls. Mimi will also teach you how to make zesty and addictive dipping sauces with ginger and mint. All participants will receive a cooking diploma for completing the camp, along with a dessert! Food sensitive and allergy disclaimer: Wheat, gluten, and dairy may be used in classes. Tuition includes all materials, handouts, and containers to take food home.”

Summer session lessons will be held in person at Red Rock on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning in June and run through August. Michelle Dunkirk is a certified and licensed music instructor with over 20 years experience.She received her Bachelors of Music on a full vocal scholarship at the U of E, Indiana, majoring in string technique, piano and voice and has played in orchestras for over 14 years including the U of M Concert Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and has also studied with the teachers of the Julliard School of Music. Her experience also includes several years of playing in dozens of bands, performing solo and in ensembles locally and internationally.She's performed on the acoustic and electric violin, guitar, mandolin, drums, flute, keyboards and lead vocals. Dunkirk was former CEO and owner of Total Music Systems rental and recording studio which rents music equipment to national recording artists in major entertainment venues. She also spent six years as orchestra director at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisc. Michelle has produced and recorded three CD's of original music, one of which was nominated for a music award.She has recently completed recording a commercial for RedLine hockey sticks where she wrote, produced and performed the music. Besides all of her accomplishments, Michelle's true passion is teaching music. She works best with students who have some previous music experience.
