Performing exercises that improve strength, balance and fitness is the single most important activity adults can do to stay active and reduce their chances of falling. This class will combine elements of a variety of different formats, including resistance bands, light weights, body weight, Tai Ji Quan and yoga for balance and flexibility training. WaitlistYoga - Level 1 (Cottage Grove) In-personFitnessThis flow-style class uses a series of yoga poses to warm up the body, while encouraging awareness in connecting breath to movement. Basic yoga poses are utilized to build muscle strength and improve flexibility. Modifications offered as needed to allow students to “individualize” their practice. Chisel - Saturday MorningFitnessStart your weekend off with a great workout! Tired of the same old workout routine? Looking for a class to tone your body and burn lots of calories? Try Chisel! This fun class alternates between cardio and strength training and targets all major muscle groups. A wide variety of moves keeps it interesting! There may be times when this class is offered earlier and recorded to be shared with those who are not able to attend, so that class will not have to be cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.Winter 2023

Running Club - All Are Welcome!FitnessThe Random Runners is a mixed group of men and women at a variety of levels from experienced to relatively new. Whether you are a competitive athlete, long-time runner or are new to a running/jogging routine and just eager to get off the couch and get started ... please join us! Park High School Activity Center track is an excellent place for you to come in out of the cold, snow and ice and do your running indoors with us! Plus, you'll meet fellow runners. For those interested, we'll include a group warm-up, some speed work and strength. Others may choose to simply come and run. Please bring a towel or mat and water. Designed for adults age 15 and up. EMOM: Every Minute on the Minute - Thursday Mornings (Online)Fitness60 seconds will fly by! You complete an exercise(s) for a designated number of reps that you chose. Your work time is 60 seconds. The remaining time within the minute serves as your recovery. You pick your reps and how long you get to rest. EMOM workouts are a great training tool. You will develop strength, muscle, endurance and overall workout capacity. Please bring your own dumb bells (suggested 3-15 lbs depending on fitness level) and a mat for this workout. There may be times when this class is offered earlier and recorded so that class will not have to be cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Your class confirmation email will include information on how you access this class online once the class has met the minimum enrollment. Swim Training 7th grade - adultYouth AquaticsRequirement: Passed Intermediate 2. Offered year round on a monthly basis Swim Training offers ages 10-adult the opportunity to have a consistent fitness program. Whether you are a student that wants to keep in shape between competitive seasons, gain strength to get on a swim team or an adult looking for that old workout you use to get in high school, this is the course for you. Each meeting will have a designated workout according to your ability. Your coach will cover a different topic each meeting day to help you improve in starts, turns or stroke development. Participants are divided into three levels of ability. As you become faster you will move on to a different lane. Participants will follow a circle swimming pattern in the lane they are assigned. 3-6 participants are assigned per lane depending on registration. Registration ends one week in advance. Thereafter a late fee of $5.00 is added to the registration fee. Please call 425-6600 for class availability after online registration ends. Late registrations are taken at the pool for any available class for the first two days.Winter 2023
