The Children’s Museum in downtown St. Paul has three floors of fun for the whole family. Children can play in a pretend town, zoom down a giant spiral slide, zig-zag through a laser maze, create in the makerspace, discover in the toddler space, engineer your own ball launcher and much more fun! This event will be for families with children from birth to 8 years of age. ECFE Coffee, Community and Connection SeriesFamily EventsEarly Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Coffee, Community and Connection Series Cottage Grove Elementary - Wednesdays - 2:00-3:00 p.m. weekly January 29 - May 27 Royal Oaks Elementary - Mondays - 1:15-2:15 p.m. weekly January 27 - March 23 If you attended ECFE with your children prior to elementary school and wished that ECFE was still available for elementary families, well now it is! Starting in January, we will be hosting an ECFE parent discussion series with an ECFE parent facilitator for families with children in preschool (4's) to Grade 3. If you never had the chance to try ECFE with your children prior to elementary, we hope you will join us. These sessions will run one hour prior to school ending at Cottage Grove Elementary and Royal Oaks Elementary so that your parent discussion will end in time for school pick up. Some topics might include: navigating friendships, screen time and technology, and effectively communicating with your school community. Join us and meet other parents in your community school who are experiencing the same joys and challenges as you. Sessions are free, however registration is necessary.Winter 2020

VIP Ball 2020 - MEAL DEAL, Advance ReservationsFamily EventsTHIS OPTION IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED DANCE TICKETS. Avoid waiting in a long line. Purchase your meal deal in advance and make reservations for a special dinner time together. Tickets will not be sent. There will be a list at the cafeteria entrance. All proceeds from the dinner, served by ISD 833's Food and Nutrition Services, go towards the Angel Fund, a program where full meals are provided to students when they do not have enough funds in their account for a meal.There will also be concession booths serving water and cupcakes at various locations throughout the dance so you will not have to wait in a line at the cafeteria for snacks and drinks. All proceeds from the meal deal benefit the District 833 Angel Fund that provides school lunches to those in need.Winter 2020

VIP Ball 2020 - PRE-PARTY PRINCESS PACKAGEFamily EventsBy registering for the pre-party, you are automatically registered for the dance. This package includes entrance to the dance, a formal portrait with your VIP, a formal portrait with all the princesses, a very special sit down dinner where you can interact with all the princesses, and a personalized keepsake for each child. Be the first to arrive and get a front row parking spot. In keeping with this year's theme from Mulan, we will be serving a delicious meal with an asian twist. Before dinner, get your formal picture taken without waiting in line. An additional group portrait taken with all the princesses is included in the package. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR A PHOTO WITHOUT ALREADY HAVING PURCHASED A DANCE TICKET. You must pre-register for your professional photographs. This helps us eliminate registration lines at the dance. Photographs are $10 each and are sponsored by Lifetouch. The cost for professional photographs increases after April 1 to $15. HELPFUL TIPS • You will be allowed to enter a queue at your designated time. Please arrive at the photo area between your start and end time, not earlier. • Those arriving early are designated to a holding area and must wait in that area until their designated start time. • In order for us to deliver your pictures to you in a timely manner, please be sure to answer all questions completely. Follow Mulan and "Stay True to Your Heart" as you join us for a very special evening of dancing and a variety of fun activities designed for elementary age children such as coloring, tattoos, crafts and visiting with costumed princesses. This is a parent/child activity. Please register with the child's name and include the accompanying very important adult's name on the registration. As with all our relationship events, if this is an activity your child would enjoy, please register, all are welcome to participate! We welcome anyone who wishes to participate to join us!
