    With a little help and music, children can improve their vocabulary, memory, cognitive abilities, listening skills, auditory processing skills, rhythm, and much more at Miss Laura's A Little Music in Little Me music class. Learning to read requires many of these skills. Children and caregivers will engage in musical activities that focus on singing, keeping a steady beat, coordination and listening. Join in the movement, drumming, puppets, ukulele, parachute and other hands-on activities that promote early childhood developmental skills. Winter classes are held indoors, and warm weather classes are held outdoors. Kids with the wiggles are welcome here! Free child’s t-shirt w/superhero cape on back included in registration.     Private Guitar Lessons with George McCorkell - summer

    Personalized, private guitar lessons are offered to students in beginning to advanced guitar (acoustic or electric) and beginning banjo. A guitar or banjo is required for lessons. Lessons are taught online or in person at Park High by Mr. McCorkell, a professional guitarist with a degree in Guitar Performance who has been teaching privately for over 10 years. Questions?   • 30 minute Private Lessons (String, piano, voice, etc.) with Michelle Dunkirk Summer Session

    Summer session lessons will be held in person at Red Rock on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning in June and run through August. Michelle Dunkirk is a certified and licensed music instructor with over 20 years experience.She received her Bachelors of Music on a full vocal scholarship at the U of E, Indiana, majoring in string technique, piano and voice and has played in orchestras for over 14 years including the U of M Concert Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and has also studied with the teachers of the Julliard School of Music. Her experience also includes several years of playing in dozens of bands, performing solo and in ensembles locally and internationally.She's performed on the acoustic and electric violin, guitar, mandolin, drums, flute, keyboards and lead vocals. Dunkirk was former CEO and owner of Total Music Systems rental and recording studio which rents music equipment to national recording artists in major entertainment venues. She also spent six years as orchestra director at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisc. Michelle has produced and recorded three CD's of original music, one of which was nominated for a music award.She has recently completed recording a commercial for RedLine hockey sticks where she wrote, produced and performed the music. Besides all of her accomplishments, Michelle's true passion is teaching music. She works best with students who have some previous music experience.
