    Summer Grilling Basics

    Increase your confidence and eagerness to play with food outdoors! If you haven't grilled before or are unhappy with your results, join us for a get-up-to-speed introduction. You'll learn what to look for in simple, reliable charcoal and gas grills and instant-read thermometers; the cuts of meat that can make—or break—your grilling; fruit and vegetables that are terrific on the grill; marinades and rubs. You’ll grill them all outside the classroom door. Though I can’t bring a heavy kamado to class, I can help you improve your grilling on an Egg or Kamado Joe with Q&A. Bring an apron, an appetite, your own flatware, plates, and take-home containers to keep things as safe as possible. Masks required while we prep indoors. Extensive handout provided.

    Hudson Food Walk guided tours offer a fun way to explore Hudson's thriving food scene and experience all this quaint river town has to offer. During the three-hour tour, guests learn about Hudson’s rich history, stroll along the banks of the scenic St. Croix River and make stops at six popular downtown destinations to enjoy nearly a dozen (food and drink) tastings including classic American and Latin-inspired dishes. A fun craft cocktail demonstration and tasting at Pedro’s del Este is also included, along with a stop at St. Croix Baking Company for a sampling of stunning desserts and a demonstration at Grand Fete, a unique kitchen store that offers gifts, gadgets, ingredients and culinary classes.   • Instant Pot 101 - Live Online (Cook-Along & Demonstration-Style Class)

    Demystify the electric pressure cooker / multi-cooker called the Instant Pot® during a LIVE VIRTUAL class! Learn the foundations of cooking and care, and how to make a few amazingly satisfying dishes in the Instant Pot. Breakfast, Lunch / Dinner, and Dessert menu items will be demonstrated. Participants can choose to join in a COOK-ALONG for the pasta dish found here in the description! In addition to an Instant Pot® Yogurt Tutorial, menu items will include Creamy Steel-Cut Oatmeal or Egg Bites, Creamy-Cheesy Tuscan Chicken with Penne, and luscious Lava Cakes or Dreamy Banana Bread. Menu items on the day of the class will depend on ingredients that are on hand. Time for Q & A is built into the class. Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout.
